Peals and Quarter peals in Chilton

This page records peals and quarter peals rung before the restoration of 2000 and those rung since then. The Felstead database list 4 peals rung in Chilton, Berks between 1953 and 1956. We have no knowledge of any earlier peals there may have been between 1892 and 1953.

County reorganisation moved the parish of Chilton from Berkshire into Oxfordshire in 1974. At the restoration of 2000 the canons were cut off bells 1,2 and the tenor, the bells retuned and hung in a new iron frame by Whites of Appleton.
