Upgrading your FPEmulator 4.09 to one which works better
You only need to do this if you are running a RISC-PC with RISC-OS 4
First check which FPEmulator you are using:
open a Task Window from the RISC-OS 4 icon menu at the right of the icon bar
in the window type
help FPEmulator
to which it will reply
==> Help on keyword FPEmulator
Module is: FPEmulator 4.xx (some date here) (1.07M)
if the '4.xx' is '4.09' then you should upgrade
You can try out the problem with this simple
download (730 bytes). Unzip it, copy both files to the same directory and double-click on the RunTest.
The Basic TestFPE is then run under BASIC64.
Installing the upgrade
Download the RISC-OS
release
(you have first to obtain a password but this only costs time, not money)
unzip from it the file !System.400.Modules.FPEmulator
copy it to your boot structure at
!Boot.Resources.!System.400.Modules.FPEmulator
now create an Obey file with !Edit containing the one line:
